Qi Xiang was the first reign title of the 8th Emperor of the Qing dynasty. We know him better as Tong Zhi. The 1st title was used only for a few months. It was chosen by the high officials that were appointed by Xian Feng Emperor before his death, to look after the infant heir to the throne. The officials survived their ruler by only a few months. They were murdered by the infamous empress dowager Zhi Xing, who chose the new reign title Tong Zhi for her grandson.

This coin is a copy. Very few were cast, and it is a rare coin today.
